The Miraculous Medal
The Miraculous Medal originates from apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Paris in 1830. Mary asked that a medal be struck based on the image she revealed during these apparitions.
The front features the Latin invocation:
O MARIA, SINE LABE CONCEPTA, ORA PRO NOBIS, QUI AD TE RECURRIMUS.
"O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee."
Since its creation, the medal has become a globally recognized symbol of the Catholic faith and devotion to the Mother of God. It serves as a reminder of Mary’s intercession and encourages us to turn to her with trust.
